How To Rap To Mz Wilds Cadence

We Have A Winner!

I am very excited to announce that Mz Wild won the first how to rap cadence contest. And as promised in my previous video I have made a video which shines the spot light on her as I take her cadences under the microscope and dissect them. In this video I load Mz Wilds cadence recording into FL Studio and then program hi hats to line up with her cadence. Once this has been established I then take out my handy dandy notepad and translate her cadence into lyrics.

Why Mz Wild?

There is several reasons why Mz Wild won this contest. Not only did she provide a decent audio recording with a full songs length of cadences to choose from but more importantly she provided me with some really complex cadences. The particular section that I chose to feature in this weeks video segment of Be A Better Rapper Now consists of 4 bars in which she switches up her cadences in each bar. I felt that this not only would be a challenge but also a learning opportunity for everyone else.

Need Practice?

In this video Mz Wild used a beat from Jayanthonybeatz.com to practice her cadence to. I then built a simple beat around it so the rest of the community could practice along with the lesson being taught in this video. These practice beats are shared through my newsletter and if you are not already on it you can sign up now by downloading a FREE copy of my eBook The #1 Fundamental To Rapping Upon signing up you will receive all the exclusives in the future however if you wish to receive a practice beat that was shared before you signed up simply shoot me an e-mail at colemize@colemizestudios.com

I still can’t seem to figure out how to stay on beat. I don’t know if you could do a video showing 2 or 3 cadences that are not on beat that’d clear things up better. Please!
