One thing you must remember is when you hear your favorite rappers’ punchlines, you’re hearing the final product! What you didn’t hear is all the things they thought up first that they didn’t use. And that’s exactly what you’re going to see in this video! The entire process of writing a rap punchline from scratch!
Always remember that the creative process is an iterative process. The way we figure out what works best is by discovering all the things that don’t work. This is why it’s important to write down your ideas as you get them. Don’t wait until they’re fully worked out in your head before you write them down. The quicker you start writing things down, the quicker you will build momentum in the iterative process!
You will be amazed at how many things start coming to you once you stop overthinking things and being overly critical, and just start writing your ideas down no matter how lame they may seem. This is where the magic happens!

I’d leaf through the pages but they got blown away-I’m dismayed
The leaf blowers came today and they blew my very mind away
I can’t concentrate, and they suck like a vacuum in reverse
They are things I hate – I say, “f**k” – they just made my day much worse
Leafing through the pages of my mind – I have leaf-blower-memories
They blow chunks of s**t and debris; they make me want to vomit, you see
Sounding like a fly on crack, I wish that we could bring brooms back
Like the witches used to have to fly on, I’d feel better; that’s a fact
