D.O.C. – Dr.Dre And The Music Industry
In this months live hangout we learn from the mistakes of song writing legend D.O.C. and his partnership with Dr.Dre along with why it’s vitally important that you mind your own business! It’s quite simple.. no one is going to look out for you like you should look out for yourself. This live hangout is filled with tons of information and advice to help guide you in the right direction so you don’t repeat the same mistakes that D.O.C. did.
Many things are discussed such as the future of social media, The current state of the music business, how to manage your time and balance your work and personal life out. How to start winning over fans and properly approach people without being spammy or a promotional robot!
I also share two very important books I highly recommend anyone to read who is wanting to learn more about business. The first book is called The E-Myth “Why most small businesses don’t work and what to do about it!”. Check it out here And the other book is called All You Need To Know About The Music Business. Check it out here.
This hangout was so much fun aside from all the technical problems most of us encountered. I apologize about the sound issues and I did my best to edit as many of them out. I hope that you enjoy watching this hangout and that you are able to take away some nuggets of information away from it that you can start applying to your life as well as your craft.
Learn From Others Mistakes
The business dilemmas that D.O.C. faced is eye opening and I felt strongly compelled to share his story with everyone else in hopes that they would learn from this living legend. D.O.C. seems like such a genuine, humble and loyal person which are typically the people who get taken advantage of the most. Take it from someone who knows first hand! If you would like to watch the full interview that D.O.C. did with VladTV you can check it out here. VladTV did a very nice long interview and split them up across different videos so you may have to jump around a bit to watch them all.
How Did I Do?
