Born and raised in the small town of Monroe, GA, where opportunities were scarce, Cole Mize—rapper, producer, and teacher—has defied the odds through relentless perseverance and an unwavering drive for excellence. Fueled by a deep love for music and an unyielding commitment to his craft, Cole has transformed challenges into stepping stones for success.
Cole’s passion for music ignited at the age of 8 when he picked up the saxophone and joined his elementary school’s competition band. By 12, he discovered a love for rapping and began performing his original songs at church and local talent shows, laying the foundation for his lifelong journey in music.
In high school, Cole expanded his musical talents by diving into production. He began making beats, recording, and mixing songs—not just for himself but for other local rappers. Performing under the rap name “Shadow,” Cole released two demo CDs that started building his reputation in the local music scene.
After graduating, 20-year-old Cole felt ready to take his music career to the next level. He released his third and final demo, My Final Demonstration, recorded at the legendary PatchWerk Studios in Atlanta, GA. This pivotal project solidified his skills and ambitions as a rising artist.
Cole’s buzz grew as he performed at every local venue he could find. For the first time, he began earning money from his music—turning his passion into a profession. However, as his career gained traction, Cole recognized the importance of balance. He shifted gears to focus on personal growth and family life, getting married and spending six years climbing the ranks at one of the world’s top food companies.
By 26, Cole had found his footing personally and professionally. Feeling grounded, he launched Cole Mize Studios, where he began producing and mentoring local rappers. Around this time, Cole entered the Z4L "You're Going To Jail Now" rap competition, triumphing over 60 contestants to claim first place. This victory earned him the opportunity to perform alongside 106 & Park freestyle champion and Ruff Ryder member, MC Jin.
As Cole’s reputation grew, so did the number of aspiring rappers seeking his guidance. To help more people at once, he began creating YouTube videos to share his advice. What started as a few tutorials quickly grew into an ongoing series.
For the past 11 years, Cole has dedicated himself to educating, developing, and producing aspiring rappers through Cole Mize Studios. A recognized authority in teaching the art of rap, his YouTube channel has amassed more than 10 million views and over 100,000 subscribers, becoming a go-to resource for artists worldwide.
After a lifetime honing his skills and over a decade empowering others, Cole is stepping into a new chapter: releasing his own music in 2025. His debut single, "Foot On The Gas," dropping in January 2025, is an anthem of resilience and self-determination, inspiring listeners to chase their dreams and embrace both triumphs and setbacks.
